Diet

We have bully breeds. This is what we feed our dogs. Many white dogs suffer from allergies and coat and skin issues. We found this diet works great for our "pitties"

Kibble. . .We use a high quality kibble that does not have meal or corn in it. Read the ingredients protein meal is not good as it contains beaks and all sorts if gross things. Beef meal contains beef, etc etc.

We supplement with canned dog food that contains meat and veggies. We add to it cuts if beef, vennison. Rabbit, pork, alligator, salmon, buffalo, chicken livers, hearts, calves liver, eggs, pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling but 100% pumpkin fresh or canned), carrots, spinach, Apples, mango, blueberries bananna, sweet potatoe, cranberries, brown rice or oatmeal, ricotta and yogurt (unflavored) do not buy sweetened or light yogurt it may have zylitol which is deadly to a dog. And coconut oil we add for their coats. My dogs pick their own greenbeans and cherry tomatoes from their garden. In the summer we freeze watermelon for them as a cool treat. Never feed potatoe, onion. Grapes, stone fruit pits, like peach pits, or chocolate to a dog it can cause alot of harm. We have 1 dog allergic to chicken so we do not feed our dogs chicken much. We placed her on zyrtec walmart brand and her allergies cleared up! We consulted our vet, benedryl works too.

Supplements: vit e, salmon or fish oil, glucosimine, condroitin, brewers yeast, turmeric.

They get these daily.

If your dog was starved we recommend a bland diet of brown rice, pumpkin and a protein. Slowly add dog food to it. We also suggest a probiotic and greek plain yogurt.

This will help the stools and digestion. Dogs that are starved have issues with gut bacteria. There is good and bad. They call it flora. You want good flora gut. A probiotic will help get the colonies of bad bacteria to a normal level. Pumpkin or sweet potatoes will help bulk up the stool. While giving nutrients. Rice is gentle and bulks up stool. We prefer brown rice to white rice. Unsweetened Yogurt helos with gut flora as well.

Treats we use celery.. it flosses their teeth.. carrots clean teeth and gives them something crunchy to chew whike they receive nutrients.

We use frozen kongs filled with any of the following:

Yogurt, apples, blueberries, ricotta or cottage cheese, real cheese grated, canned dog food...

This will keep the dog from chewing furnature and also has a calming affect. We use this for separation anxiety as it keeps the dog entertained while mentally stimulating them and getting some energy out. While having a nutritious special treat. Its a win win! We also make our own dog treats as well. Bully sticks or antlers. Never give a dog rawhide.

Hope this article has helped!
